PB2

PB2 is made from slow roasted peanuts that are pressed to remove the oil. It has 85% less fat calories than regular peanut. And even though it is powdered you can reconstitute it with water to give it the same great taste. It is slightly less sweeter and creamy than regular peanut butter but it a good substitute. And there is a PB2 chocolate! With it being a powder, it mixes great into protein shakes or yogurt. Both of which I did today because I'm obsessed at the current moment. The Wrightsville Beach Mailbox

This afternoon my roommate and I went down to Wrightsville Beach to walk. I've been wanting to go down to the beach, and I've spent a lot of time in the gym lately and wanted a change of scenery. We started off at a good pace, did a couple reps of lunges and just thought we were going out for a workout. We use MapMyFitness and Nike+ to track our workouts and we looked at our phone to see how we were doing and the GPS had us walking on water... Pretty cool right? Well what it brought us to was even more awesome! We got curious wondering if we could walk to the other island we saw on GPS, which I think is Figure 8, but I'm not really sure. Anyways, we rounded the end the beach on the North End and there is a mailbox beside a bench right at the edge of the dunes. Nothing else all around. Green Juice

So, I've seen this recipe all over the internet lately and have been too scared to try it thinking it would taste crazy. I promise it doens't taste like it looks. I had this for breakfast one day and for a post-workout snack. And both times I haven't been able to taste the spinach. The spinach taste is masked by all the fruit you put in the smoothie. Start with your same smoothie base, Greek yogurt. Then if you want to add a little juice, milk, or water. I use just a little bit of Bolt House or Naked, whichever is on sale. But if you're watching calories, this increases a lot. A cup of Bolthouse is 130 calories. Next add your fruit, either frozen or fresh. I used up all my frozen then added a fresh banana, and since it's winter, not much fresh fruit to be found that is really good. Top with a good handful or two of spinach.
